Who we are
Education is where every opportunity begins..
The name Shikshodaya means the rising of education. It describes what we want to see: a learner who starts the day with a skill, and ends the year with a livelihood.
We are registered as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013, and as an MSME. Any surplus we earn goes back into our programmes. It is never paid out as profit.
We believe that education must go beyond academic learning to create meaningful opportunities for individuals, strengthen communities and contribute to a self-reliant nation. Our work connects learning with practical skills, innovation with opportunity, and livelihoods with sustainable development.
Through partnerships with educational institutions, industries, corporate CSR partners, government stakeholders and local communities, we strive to build an ecosystem where every learner can discover their potential, develop relevant capabilities and work towards a better future.

Our Story
India’s greatest strength lies in its people—their aspirations, creativity, knowledge and potential. However, gaps in access to quality education, practical skills, digital technologies and livelihood opportunities continue to limit the potential of many individuals and communities.
Shikshodaya Foundation was established with a commitment to address these challenges through an integrated, action-oriented approach to education and social development.
We envision a future where schools become centres of innovation, young people gain access to industry-relevant skills, women are empowered to pursue economic independence, and rural communities have opportunities to participate in India’s growth story.
